DISCOVERY

The sailor Amérigo Vespucci when arriving in the Paraty´s bay said:

Oh! God, if there would be a Paradise on earth, it wouldn´t be much different from here!!".

POSITION

Paraty, is considered National Hystorical Heritage, is located strategically between the two majors Brasilian cities, São Paulo 307Km) and Rio de Janeiro (256Km).

HISTORY

The city was , founded on the 16th Century, had three main hystorical ages: Gold was the first one (1700), Coffee the second (1800) and Tourism is the third and actual one.

SEA

Paraty disposes of more than one hundred beaches, among thoose on the mainland and on the islands. Located on the beautiful Ilha Grande´s bay, with more than 60 islands in a very calm sea at all times and where tourists can always enjoy beautiful boat excursions with daily departures from the local tourist harbour at 11:00 am.

COUNTRY SIDE

It is still pretty unknown by most of locals, even if it offers an exuberant vegetation with numerous waterfalls and natural freshwater basins.
